Robert Moses brings over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, making him the driving force behind Soul Food Guide. Having worked as an F&B manager and bartender at prestigious establishments like Hilton and the Sacramento Kings Basketball team, Robert’s expertise in hospitality has shaped his vision for the business. A culinary school graduate with a degree in food and beverage management, Robert understands the intricacies of both the culinary world and the importance of authentic, community-based food experiences. In 2001, he founded Soul Food Guide with the goal of creating a platform that celebrates African-American culinary traditions while providing a resource for food lovers to discover Black-owned restaurants, events, and soul food products.
Retiring in 2019 to focus full-time on Soul Food Guide, Robert has dedicated himself to curating a platform that not only connects people with soul food but also with the culture and history behind it. His passion for Southern-style cooking and his deep knowledge of the food industry continue to inspire the growth of Soul Food Guide as a trusted resource for diners and food enthusiasts nationwide. Robert’s commitment to authenticity and quality is the foundation upon which Soul Food Guide has built its reputation.
